Biological FungicidePollinators, predators, and parasitoids are examples of beneficial
species that are not adversely affected by biological
fungicides. They barely endanger non-target species, such as people and
animals. Because of this, they may be used in integrated pest management (IPM)
programs, whose objective is to support a thriving, balanced environment.
Pre-harvest periods for biological
fungicides are frequently shorter than for their synthetic counterparts. As
a consequence, they can be used closer to the time of harvest without creating
serious threats to food safety or leaving behind residues that could be
problematic. More practical disease management techniques are made possible by
this flexibility, particularly for crops with shorter growing seasons. |
